The welfare support role is mainly being a friendly approachable face around the club that members can speak to for welfare advice/concerns. The role also involves offering guidance, creating resources, and signposting members to the best places for support, as well as communicating with other members of committee and coaches about any concerns that arise. Within the role you have the privilege of many members trusting you with personal and sensitive information which you must show complete respect and confidentiality towards. You will also work closely alongside the Safety and Inclusion Officer which includes doing regular drop ins, social media posts and facilitating new ideas to improve support within the boat club.
