Hi everyone! I am Darcie and some of you might recognise me if you have attended any of WILS's amazing events this year. Currently i am the newsletter editor for WILS and have loved creating content advertising and highlighting the amazing things we do as a society. I have worked closely with Abbey (the current social media manager) and the rest of our incredible committee and i have loved being part of this community.


So why me? I have over a years experience using Canva aligned with WILS branding. I have extensive marketing knowledge from my marketing module this year and from my business management course. I also have specific knowledge from google digital marketing course and learning to write marketing copy. I am an avid social media user, always up to date on trends.


Vote for me if you want someone who knows the ins and outs of WILS, has a passion for social media and has some brilliant ideas to introduce!

I am driven to be a part of a significant initiative and LUUWILS is certainly the right platform for the same. I would love to promote events for the society and expand LUUWILS social media reach, in creative and accessible ways. I also plan to increase engagement through social media crossovers and collaborating with amazing women! :)

Hi everyone, I’m Frankie and I am a first year BSc Economics student. I would love to be your Social Media Manager next year and have lots of experience in this area! Social media is such an important tool which is often still underestimated, our social media pages are the face of LUUWILS and an incredibly valuable way to promote the society so that as many people can benefit from what we have to offer as possible. Social Media is a key form of contacting the society so a confident and approachable Social Media Manager is needed who can offer support and direct any questions- I believe that I will be the perfect person for this!

In my first year I have been involved in lots of different things from being an Undergraduate Ambassador to an active member of Modern Dance Society. By keeping busy I have become more organised (if that’s even possible) and become equipped for the role of Social Media Manager. I would love to have an active role in the society next year so that I can carry on the initiative and work as a team to empower our community.

One initiative I would like to introduce to our social media pages is frequent ’story takeovers’. Within our society there is a vast amount of subjects studied giving everyone a different university experience. By sharing what different members get up to each week we could better support one another and benefit from more of the opportunities at Leeds. I would also love to create a TikTok presence for LUUWILS and collaborate with other society’s social media managers so that everyone’s society can flourish.

Finally, I just wanted to say a big thank you to our current committee for helping to develop LUUWILS and making sure it ran so seamlessly, I would love to take over the role with the same enthusiasm!
