The Welfare Officer is responsible for ensuring inclusion within the society and is the first point of contact for members with concerns regarding welfare, discrimination, poor practice or abuse.
Specific responsibilities include:
- report welfare incidents to LUU when appropriate
- work with committee to enshrine principles of equality, diversity and inclusion within all aspects of the Club, as well as safeguarding
- undertake all recommended training to enable them to fulfil their role
- look into fundraising and charity opportunities within LUU and externally
