The president is the leading figure of the society. They chair the rest of the committee and oversee the direction of the society for the year. As a core role, we must fill this position and only active members of the University of Leeds can nominate for this role.
The responsibilities for the role are as follows:
- Oversee the other committee members and ensure they are completing their roles and jobs
- Lead committee meetings, including AGMs and EGMs
- Make final decisions on important matters
- Ensure the engage site is up to date with the most recent information
- Delegate tasks where necessary
- Admin of the society Discord server
- Be the first point of communication for external groups
