Hi, my name is Katie and I'm going into my second year of studying neuroscience. Having participated in both neuroscience society and music review society social events in my first year, I believe I can bring lots of exciting ideas for socials to help everyone have fun and get to know their fellow course mates. To cater for everyone, I would host a range of activities from nights out, karaoke and pub quizzes, to talks from lecturers and board-game nights to ensure everyone can get involved. Furthermore, I think it's important to be able meet other STEM students outside of neuroscience, which is why I would like to continue to host socials with Fobsoc and also mix with other stem societies like Chemsoc and Rosoc. I would also love to keep up the educational side of the society by doing group study sessions in local cafes/pubs so that we can all help to motivate each other in deadlines season to be the best neuroscientists we can be.
