Hey Everyone!

I’m excited to be running for the position of Vice President for next year’s committee! :) I’ve been an active member of the society for the past year and have really enjoyed attending TDY, YEC, Women’s Only, Race Watch-alongs, the Otley run and club night socials!

Next year I’m looking to expand my role in the society with new ideas and responsibilities. As part of my role as Vice President, one of my jobs would involve ordering kit for existing and new members of the society – my priority is to make sure this merchandise is of high quality and with inclusive styles and sizing. I’d love to introduce the option of Women’s clothing styles and sizes available for our team kit so every society member has lots of available choices of our great merch!

Alongside this, my other roles would include keeping track of the TDY standings throughout the year [ without corruption ofc unless you spoil the race in the chat ] and organising the awards for AGM [ sadly, I can already predict for E-TDY Ben will probably win most of these ].

Of course, my role won’t be limited to just these, but also to collaborate and assist all other committee members throughout the year too! I want to fulfil my role in the best way I can next year and continue to be a part of such an amazing society and community. It’s been wonderful meeting so many lovely people this year, I can’t wait until next year to go to more events, spend more time with you all and meet lots of new members!

With a passion for motorsports, and my own experiences within the society, I believe I make an ideal candidate for this role. Having attended a multitude of society events in the past couple years I also have a good understanding of what is required of a leadership role to succeed and ensure everything runs smoothly for members to enjoy their time as part of the community.

Hi, my name is Megan, or as many of you know me, Meg. I’m a first year English student from Leeds, and obsessed with F1! I’d love to be considered for the role of Vice President so that I can represent women in motorsport and increase the amount of female engagement within the society. As someone who joined the society due to my enthusiasm of f1, I have grown an interest for karting after attending and watching the TdY’s and endurance races. Next year, I hope to get more involved in karting myself and inspire other girls like me to get involved too! I believe I would succeed in the role of Vice President because I would take my responsibilities very seriously and make sure to stay organised whilst remembering to have fun! I also have a perseverant attitude and try to make sure everything I do is done to my best ability. My aims as Vice President are to help out in anyway I can and make sure everything runs smoothly. It would mean so much to me if I was chosen for this role because despite only being in the society for a year, it has become a big part of my life and I want to share the happiness that the society has given me with new (and old) members. I feel motivated and ready to fulfil the role as Vice President from the amazing atmosphere in, and around the society, and my passion for motorsport continues to grow everyday!
