I don't really know what to write here frankly. Everyone that you could vote for for this is great so go wild I guess.

Hey, I’m Lewis and I’m a first year Economics and Finance student who loves motorsport and racing, over first year I’ve raced in tdy and Bukc events, I’ve loved this year and the society so much so that I want to become a committee member to help give an experience as good as I’ve had for future and current members, I’m a hard-working individual who always consistently gets things done on time. Hiya Everyone!

I’m excited to be running for the position of Events Coordinator for next year’s committee! :) I’ve been an active member of the society for the past year and have really enjoyed attending TDY, YEC, Women’s Only, Race Watch-alongs, the Otley run and club night socials! I’ve also been active in E-TDY, setting lap times on F1 2021 [ thankfully Ben doesn’t submit times for this category lol ].

Next year I’m looking to expand my role in the society with new ideas and responsibilities. As Events Coordinator, my main goal is to continue and grow the great list of events for our members both on and off track!

Our annual TDY championship is a staple of the society and I hope to collaborate with and assist our Events Manager to ensure another fab year of this event. Other events such as Give it a Go, YEC and trips to rallies and other races I’m looking forward to assisting with! For our Women’s Only events, it was brilliant to collaborate with other Universities for our race at Parkwood and I’d certainly like to solidify our relationship with other universities and the female race community across Yorkshire going into next year :)

Maintaining the online success of E-TDY with new tracks, games and time trials every week as well as keeping the scoreboard up to date will also be part of my role. I’d also love to have an expansion of online events with races and new game modes to be covered alongside the potential for in-person sim racing events such as our collaboration with Leeds RAG.

It’s been wonderful meeting so many lovely people this year, I can’t wait until next year to go to more events, spend more time with you all and meet lots of new members!

Throughout the last 3 years I have enjoyed countless GP watch-a-longs, TdY events, BUKC races and other fantastic events put on. Motorsport Soc is by far the friendliest yet competitive community I’ve been lucky to be part of, and I would like to add to the way the society is ran next year.

I am running for Secretary and Events Coordinator. This is because I know my skills can help with the administrative running of the society and organizing one off events such as guest talks; however, I am also a huge fan of the e-TdY series and would like to see it continue and expand in the future. In either position I am looking forward to making a positive impact on the events offered by the society and make sure all members enjoy being part of this society as much as I have. A key aspect to this will be a mixture of putting my own ideas forward, such as an online sprint league for e-TdY, and listening to member requests and feedback regarding what kind of events you would like to have running.
