I am applying for the Secretary position because I am dedicated, organised, and enthusiastic about supporting a society that plays a vital role in helping the community. I believe strong administration is key to the society’s success, and as an organised and dedicated individual, I am always ready to take on responsibility to keep things running smoothly. From managing documents to organising meetings and overseeing social media, I am confident in my ability to keep everything on track. I recognise that the society’s efficient operation is crucial to allowing responders to focus on their vital work. I’m throwing my hat in the ring for Secretary because, let’s be honest, every good team needs someone who can keep things organised and running smoothly—plus, I actually enjoy this kind of stuff (weird, I know).

Between juggling my degree in Music Psychology, my work as an IT Admin, and somehow keeping my life in one piece, I’ve gotten pretty good at managing schedules, sorting out admin, and making sure things don’t descend into chaos. Mostly. I know how to handle documents, book rooms, run meetings, and keep social media ticking over—basically, all the stuff that makes a society function.

I’ll be honest—I’d need to call on others to help make social media content more engaging. But that’s not a weakness, it’s a strength—knowing when to bring in the right people to make things even better.

Here’s why you should consider voting for me:

I get stuff done. Need a room booked? Sorted. Minutes written up? Done. Someone to chase people to update the logbook? I’m on it.

I can communicate. Whether it’s emails, messages, or carrier pigeons (budget permitting), I’ll make sure everyone knows what’s going on.

I solve problems, not cause them. (Mostly 🤣) If something goes wrong, I’ll figure it out and keep things moving.
