Hello my fellow trampy tramps.

2024/2025 will be the year of the LEEDS SLAY if I have anything to do with it.

As you all know, I'm old af, and clearly just really really love education. However, this means that I have 7 years experience in university trampoline across three different universities. This means I have connections in Universities across NEUT, The south, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Once upon a time, I did actually try hard at trampoline. I was 2016 National champion , 2016 Synchronised silver medalist, and have competed all over the country. However, my proudest achievement is still staying on the trampoline after downing three tequilas about 6 hours earlier at Nottingham. This means I have the experience in competition, coaching, skill development and judging which I'm always happy to share. ( A shot of pineapple juice after the tequilas stop you vomming ).

To be serious a second (I know weird), I successfully ran the club back in 2020/2021 through the pandemic. In this time, I successfully ran modified training sessions for COVID, got new members, and even successfully bid and organised a whole competition to be held in Leeds. I also helped organise the annual ball in 2021 which again had to be modified for COVID. Before that, I was social sec and organised interactive socials that catered to everyone and Mischief was never not on the cards.

Going forward, I'd love to build on the great job the committee have done this year with getting new members, increasing numbers at competitions, and getting the Leeds the rep it deserves. Firstly, I want to bid and host to have a competition right here in Leeds. The NEUT committee are very keen for this and this would mean we could put Leeds on the map as a host city. This would also be a comp that would be much cheaper for members. Competitions can also bring in up to £3000 in profit for the club.

This brings me on to spending! I want to put in a bid for the Leeds Gryphons fund to upgrade our facilities. In combination with the comp profits, we could do things like buy a DMT, buy a new trampoline, Replace the beds or springs of the existing trampolines, new mats, but ultimately this would be a decision I'd like for members to make in agreement and not just a decision from committee. I am hoping to also provide a budget to subsidise costs for competitions, especially ones that we know are expensive. Finally, I'd like to give social secretaries a budget per semester to put on socials. This could range from a few extra drinks at a regular social, buying games, or organising a day out for pottery painting class.

As a pres, I will be also super open to hearing new ideas for the club and listening to the other committee as well as members. My philosophy is that this sport should be FUN at the heart of it, and that will always be my goal going through the year.
