Your main functions in the committee are, but not limited to:

- Communicating events, events updates and opportunities which the HIT will be providing throughout the year, to your wider medical school community in Leeds – through social media platforms (e.g. all medic Facebook groups etc.), emailing the medical school mailing list emails, and lecture shoutouts (if appropriate).

- Working closely with the publicity rep to disseminate information about HIT’s events to your school community.

- Working closely with the president, vice president and rest of the committee to help obtain speakers in medical/surgical fields for events throughout the year.

Ability to use social media platforms to convey information, maintaining good organisation and good communication skills with other members of the team (and possibly external individuals) are essential for this role.
