As an elder statesman and former president of the club, I believe I can bring expert and sound advice to proceedings next year; akin to a grandfather. I'm well versed in the ins and outs of the year's events and activities and will be keen to chip in with all things committee. They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but this one is primed and ready for action.

Hi everyone! I would LOVE to be on general committee next year. I will be in final year and have so far loved every moment of the 3 years (?!?!?!) I have spent with cross country- so would love to give back to the club in any way possible through general committee!

- I have helped create some absolute gold dust of Instagram reels this year through being social media sec (900k+ views on one of them, wowchaaa)!

- This year i haven't been to many races due to my fragile bones (#rip) so i would love to support the injured athletes on the club and help ensure they feel just as involved even if they cant attend training (#justice4theinjured)!

- I loved helping to build the hype for BUCS this year and will continue to supply race hair ribbon for all the races if i am on committee.

- I am planning on making my 4th come back to running so will be a familiar face at training and if an inevitable injury comes around again I promise to make more use of my camera and take some more profesh pics of training and races while being on committee.

I’ve been on committee the past few years and really enjoyed being involved behind the scenes of cross country. This means I’ll be able to bring age and experience, as well as some ideas / events I’ve had in the works as part of the Women’s captain and Welfare role, as I’m hoping to be able to arrange a nutrition talk with Renee McGregor (who sadly had to postpone her talk this semester). I think it would be great to do a talk early on in the year and Renee said she could be available from September. I’m also very happy to help out with other roles and I hope to be a friendly face at the training (/ some socials depending on whether I feel too old to enter Mischief). I’m sad this is my last year as part of XC so I’m keen to make the most of it!

I'm Becca and I will be going into my fifth and final year at Leeds in Sept (I know I've been here for ages 👵🏼)! I would love to represent new and less experienced runners (I only started a year ago) and to support other committee members in their roles. I have plenty of experience working within and leading teams, I captained and coached a Leeds sports team during my second year and this year I have been running social events for under-represented and minority student groups within my faculty. It's safe to say I'm getting close to the upper age limit of mischief, but promise I will continue my dedicated yoga session streak 🧘🏼‍♀️ and (tendinitis permitting) will be a regular at MNR, track sessions and SLRs.

If I don’t get captain, I’d still love to help out the club and give back to the society :)
