Hello all! My name is Faizah, and I am a fourth year MArch, MEng Architecture student. As someone who wishes to pursue a career in architecture and engineering – industries with entrenched links to the ongoing atrocities in Palestine – I understand how serious the issue of boycotting, divesting from, and sanctioning complicit companies is, and detaching ourselves from those who allow themselves to be entangled in occupation violence.

Having conducted a lot of deep, analytical research for my degree, I would be honoured to help the cause, and all those of us who wish to protest this rampant complicity, by using the skills that I have gained over the years. I believe education is a crucial part of resistance, and I hope to spread useful knowledge within Leeds PSG, to contribute to the greater goal of ensuring the morals of our institution align with ours.

Being of Kashmiri descent, the cause of Palestinian liberation is deeply personal to me, and I am committed to channelling that into my work in this role. Vote for me for research officer, and let’s work together to make a difference!
