Hi all! My name's Christina, and I'm a soon-to-be fourth-year student studying Chinese and Russian. A lot of you probably don't know me as I've been gone for two consecutive years abroad. I was part of the hiking club during my first year though, and am very passionate about the outdoors.

I would love to serve as Welfare Secretary because I also care deeply about creating spaces where everyone feels welcome, supported, and able to participate. In terms of experience, for the past several years, I've been involved in a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee at work, including serving as a co-chair this past year. At Leeds, I've seen firsthand how some people—particularly international students—could sometimes feel overlooked or excluded.

If elected, I would aim to be an approachable and reliable point of contact for members, whether someone needs reassurance before their first trip or wants to discuss a more serious welfare concern. I would also work with the wider committee to ensure that the club remains a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for everyone.
