Hi everyone

I'm here to be your next inclusion/wellbeing Rep for 2023-24
I want all dentsoc members to feel a sense of community, that their opinions are valued and listened to. That's why I'm putting myself forward!
My determination to my role as Y2 Rep was recognised in summer by winning our faculty student rep of the year followed by winning the Partnership Awards across the uni.
So I believe I've shown that I am a honest friendly member of our community who will do all I can to help other students.

Dentistry is a stressful degree - we've all been there - that's why I'm eager to implement more wellbeing into the social inclusion role so that we can have a student centred approach to promoting our wellbeing during challenging times. I'd love to be able to organise events during daytime that focus on creativity and relaxation as well as study support resources.

Moreover i've also spent a year on the committee for the Leeds RAG Fashion Show as part of the fundraising team so I'm no stranger to event organising/planning.

Vote for me if you want a dentsoc that really values your feedback and provides that community support we need in stressful times.

We are an incredibly diverse community in our beliefs and cultures and it is important that those differences are celebrated and catered to. As somebody who does not drink and also spent this year commuting but loves to meet new people and try new things, I know just how important it is to have events that cater to all. By making more traditional events like the Freshers Bop more non-drinker friendly will ensure that everybody is included and welcomed into university life. What better way to introduce Freshers than with a treasure hunt around the city? University life does not all have to be about drinking (plus in this cost of living crisis who even has the money for that every week), so lets introduce some of our other favourite things like food festivals, culture nights and nothing screams dental student more than competition.
As your social inclusivity rep I will ensure that there are continuous events that cater to all, by working with event reps and collaborating with other societies within the university so that there are a variety of events that bring everyone together.
