Hi, I’m Freddie.

I would like to be PALS2 co-lead for next year as I am passionate about teaching, having been a tutor for over year now. I have taught within PALS on more than one occasion during this year and I would greatly value being able to become more involved within this society.

I have many aspirations for what can be done for next year’s students, including organising in-person teaching in addition to anatomy and examination teaching sessions to support students with the areas they struggle the most with.

Having been on two sports society committees over this year, I am familiar with balancing my time to ensure that I am able to dedicate myself to a society to help it grow, which is why I strongly believe that I will fulfil this role well.

Hi everyone!

My name is Henry, and I would consider it a privilege to represent the PALS community as Year 2 Co-Lead. I am motivated to work alongside committee members to provide excellent mentorship experiences for Year 2 students and outstanding teaching for MBChB students.

I discovered my passion for education after delivering a comprehensive mentorship session for prospective medical students in Sixth Form. I enjoyed the process of creating inclusive teaching aids that covered the medicine application process in an understandable and succinct format. This experience will help me to review PALS teaching session content to ensure it meets the societies high academic and inclusion standards.

As a second-year MSRC representative this year, I have also taken responsibility for leading the medical school merchandise sales and collecting assessment feedback for the MBChB Faculty. This has required close communication with other MSRC committee members, which I will carry forward into this role to work positively with the other Year 2 Co-Leads, student teachers and core officers.

From my experience, Year 2 of the MBChB is extremely difficult. This is in part due to the large volume of content in Clinical Pathology (CP) and lack of accessible exam-style questions to test your knowledge. To combat this, I would like the opportunity to work alongside the other Year 2 PALS Co-Leads to create a series of disease revision summaries for the CP module, and creating some exam-style MCQs (vetted by the medical school).

Hi everyone!

I would love to be a co lead of PALS2 next year. I have found PALS sessions to be very valuable to me, deeping my knowledge and reiterating key topics. I am just finishing year 2 and would like to create the same opportunities for the future year 2's.

This year I have been a co-lead for PALS1 which I have very much enjoyed. I will use my knowledge and experience of teaching and organising sessions to help create further resources and more tailored events, to further enhance their learning.

It is a passion of mine to share my knowledge with others. Tutoring and teaching is something I very much enjoy and want to continue to develop.

Hi, I'm Muhammad. I’m excited to apply for the role of PALS2 Co-Lead for Year 2, as I’ve really valued the support and sense of community that PALS provides. Being a Year 2 student of the MBChB, I understand how much of a difference peer teaching can make—both academically and in feeling connected during a demanding year.

I’m keen to be part of the team that helps keep that support going. I enjoy working with others and would be enthusiastic about helping organise sessions, communicate with volunteer teachers, and ensure revision materials are accessible and useful for everyone. I’m also happy to get involved with liaising with staff and keeping things running behind the scenes—whatever’s needed to support the group.

I’m looking forward to the opportunity to contribute to a friendly, inclusive learning environment and to continue learning myself through the experience.
