Hi everyone,
My name is Wajahat Khan, and I’m excited to apply for the role of Treasurer for the PALS Society.

Having previously served as a PALS2 Co-Lead, where I organised teaching sessions for Year 2 medical students, I’ve gained a solid understanding of how the society operates and the important role it plays in supporting our peers. This year, I’m looking to challenge myself by taking on a different role within the committee and contributing in a new capacity.

I also bring relevant experience from my role as Treasurer for OrthoSoc, where I became well-acquainted with the inner workings of managing society finances. From handling budgets and reimbursements to ensuring financial transparency and applying for funding, I’ve developed the practical skills needed to manage the responsibilities of this role effectively.

If elected, I will ensure clear, accurate financial management, support the smooth running of PALS activities, and help secure funding opportunities to expand what we can offer students. I’m passionate about PALS’ mission and would love the opportunity to continue contributing to its growth from a new angle.
