Hi, I’m Khizar 👋

I’m an intercalating medical student passionate about research, innovation, and using science to improve patient care and optimise clinical workflows. Alongside my studies, I’m doing an MRes focused on outcomes research, exploring how data, AI, and digital tools can make healthcare smarter and more effective.

I’ve taken part in various academic and student-led projects, including research, conferences, mentoring, and publications. I’ve worked in leadership roles before, but this will be my biggest challenge yet. I will take it in full stride.

If elected as your Chief Science Lead, I will work to:

1) Work on directly making projects to help clinicians and companies here in Leeds

2) Make MedTech easily accessible for everyone from every walk of STEM

3) Get people involved in research and help them generate publications using academic links.
