Hello, I'm Simran, and I'm running for Vice President at the Global Health Society. Currently pursuing my master's in Infection, Immunity, and Human Disease with an undergraduate degree in Medical Sciences, my academic journey and experiences outside of academia equip me for this role. I'm enthusiastic about contributing my skills and vision to create and host events, discussions, and debates within the society, fully supporting the vision of a fair world with health equity. My experiences, including volunteering to educate students about health awareness and shadowing healthcare professionals, have enhanced my leadership skills and dedication to our society's values. Beyond academics, I'm a passionate artist, blending my South Asian heritage with British culture in my artwork to reflect my identity. I'm committed to inclusivity and collaboration, welcoming diverse perspectives to address global health challenges.

I am Sona Arun, a fourth-year medical student and I would like to put myself forward for the role of Vice President for Students for Global Health.
 
SFGH is a brilliant society, dedicated to fostering change and equity in healthcare and supporting all those who wish to do so. Everyone deserves exceptional healthcare, regardless of where they come from or where they are in the world; being part of this society is a great first step towards that overarching goal.
 
My roles as Vice President are largely organisational, planning events and meetings with our lovely Pres, Riddhi 3; keeping the society admin in order; and empowering others in their roles!
 
In short, I’d be keeping track of all of the boring stuff so all you have to do is turn up and enjoy what SFGH has to offer! You can leave all the rest to me and your fellow committee members :)

I'm a third-year medical student who's passionate about global health. As part of Students for Global Health, let us strive to advocate for a world where health fairness is the norm. While I haven't directly engaged in humanitarian work, I'm well-informed about organisations that drive change. My experience in MSRC, where I've supported and led team members, has prepared me for this role. As Vice President, I'm committed to the work of SFGH - educating, advocating, and taking action for global health equity, bringing my passion, dedication, and a fresh perspective to the role.
