Hi everyone! I am Karina and I would love to be the SFGH Treasurer. I am currently doing an intercalated Masters in Biomedical and Healthcare Ethics and am extremely passionate about global health issues.

I have engaged in Humanitarian work previously in Zambia, Botswana and Indonesia. I aided local communities improve their infrastructure and educational prospects. Additionally, I have worked as a secretary and as part of administrative staff in General Practice. This has taught me to maintain high levels of organisation and I am no stranger to lengthy applications and some may say, tedious forms. I feel I am well equipped with the skills to thrive as Treasurer.

Global and local health inequalities need to be brought to the forefront of societal conversation. Health inequity is prevalent across the globe and through education, advocacy and community action we can make a change. It would be a privilege to be part of a team that shares these joint beliefs, hence I urge you to vote me, Karina, in for Treasurer!!!!
