Hi, I’m Alex, a fourth-year medical student originally from Hong Kong. I’m excited to nominate myself as your international representative. Although I worked at a riding school years ago, it wasn't until this year that I began learning how to ride. Nonetheless, I've discovered this club to be incredibly welcoming and enjoyable, fueling my eagerness to contribute more to our community.

I'm a laid-back individual who relishes making new friends and capturing moments through photography. I see this as a delightful skill to share with fellow members. Additionally, my fluency in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Hokkien equips me to connect with members from diverse backgrounds.

This year, I aim to provide support and assistance to our international members, ensuring they derive maximum benefit from riding lessons. Also, I intend to collaborate with the new social secretaries to explore the potential for cultural exchange events.

Hello! My name is Hongming.Liu. I am a student of Financial Mathematics at the University of Leeds. I would really like to help others and contribute to our Horse-Riding Club. Thus I want to apply for the position of International Representative with my advantages as follows.

Firstly, being an international student from China, I am well aware of the needs and requirements of other international students. Believing that my experience is similar to students from all parts of the world, I would love to play the role of a bridge between international students and the committee and organisers.

Secondly, I consider myself a quick learner and am always open to suggestions. Although I have to honestly point out that I am a bit introverted, I am a person who was and will always be very willing to stimulate my potential. And my friendly attitude and easygoing personality allow me to get along well with almost everybody.

Additionally, I have been in our club for a year and am quite familiar with the operation of the club. I also like horse riding myself thus won’t see the tasks as burdens.

Last but not least, my past experience enhanced my ability to cope with different people and situations. I was the Minister of Finance in one of the largest student clubs in my high school from which I developed my responsibility and organizational capability as well as progressed my inclusiveness towards various behaviours and cultures.

Therefore, I think it is my willingness to help, my learning ability, my personality, and my past experience that make me a qualified candidate for the position of International Representative.
