My name is Lucy and this year I am running for treasurer. Having been a member of the club and understanding how crucial it is for finances to regularly managed in order for the club to run to the best of its ability, I aim to fulfil my goals below if elected.

I believe it is incredibly important to ensure everyone from all backgrounds can afford to access horse riding lessons, socials, and all events run by our club. I believe everyone has the right to try or participate regularly in horse riding/socials, regardless of their financial background. If elected, I will be ensuring I keep financial transparency throughout the club, ensuring reports of financial records are kept up to date and payments are made on time to our members, Harrogate and any other affiliations.

I would like to ensure money is spent wisely and reinvested into the club, keeping training and lessons to a high standard, and regular whilst staying affordable, ensuring BUCs competitions are run smoothly, providing high quality food at these events and budgeting for end of semester and year socials to go ahead without costing our members more money.

In addition, I will ensure members are fairly compensated quickly for any fuel / public transport that is used to get to and from events, ensuring BUCS competitions are accessible for all members of university.

I am an active member of the society and therefore present at team trainings, socials and BUCs competitions in order to listen to any issues or worries from any of our members, and work with other members of the committee to ensure fairness, and equal opportunity. I aim to quickly respond to any email enquiries regarding the club, therefore hopefully encouraging new members to join, and keeping our current members informed about any information regarding the club.
