Touch is honestly such a great society and I’d love to help keep it feeling like a safe, supportive place for everyone. Whether I am elected as Welfare Secretary of President, my main goal for next year is to make sure people feel comfortable, included, and looked after - both on and off the pitch.

Mental health is something I genuinely care about, and I think it’s really important that everyone feels like they have someone they can talk to. Uni can get stressful and things can build up quickly, so I want to be someone people can always come to, whether it’s something serious or just needing a chat. I’ll always make time for people, no matter what day it is or what time of week.

I also really want to build on the charity events. I’d love for us to support a wider range of charities and causes. I think it would be really nice if we all chose a few charities next year that mean something to us, and focused on raising money for them throughout the year. I’ve got loads of ideas for more fundraising events too, fun ones that get everyone involved and bring the society closer while raising money at the same time.

Overall, I just want to help maintain the safe environment Touch already has and keep building a vibe where everyone feels supported, valued, and included.

I have nominated myself for Welfare and Charity Sec because I have truly felt so included within Touch Rugby in my first year and I want to continue that trend for all members, new or old!

Touch Rugby is such a beautiful supportive community, that I would be honoured to be at the forefront of support for everyone.

In terms of welfare I’m also brilliant at helping people when they’ve had a few too many bevs x

All jokes aside though, I genuinely care about maintaining a safe and fun environment for us all to enjoy while training and making our way to mischief after a great social!

Charity is also something I care deeply for, I a 10k to raise money for Scope a few years ago and would thoroughly like to create similar fundraising opportunities for Touch Rugby while making it new and exciting xx
Maybe a sponsored walk, coincidentally past some pubs?

I may not be the best touch player (see the amount of ball drops in training) but I am committed to the society and would love to help make a difference and keep us a safe and caring group 3
