Hey there, I’m Aimee and I’m currently a 3rd year medic!

It would honestly be such a privilege to formally join a society that I have been engaging with for a few years now! Attending both the 2nd and 3rd annual LOGSOC conference amongst following closely with social media, I feel I have a key grasp of the core values of LOGSOC that I feel confident to enforce this next academic year as a clinical rep.

Alongside my engagement with LOGSOC, I have long been passionate on women’s health, both nationally and globally, as well as sexual health, and the gaps in healthcare that unfairly impact on health outcomes for women everyday. I feel as a clinical rep, I can raise awareness on these key issues through organisation of events as well as educational series’ on obstetrics and gynaecology as a field.

With a special interest in sexual health and OBGYN as a potential future career, I would be so grateful to get more involved in the incredibly important work as LOGSOC as a 4th year clinical rep.

Hey! I'm Abi a medical student currently intercalating in MSc Public Health.

I am applying for 4th year clinical rep of LOGSOC as it would be an absolute privilege to serve within a society that inspires the next generation of O&G professionals and that shines a light on and promotes conversations surrounding issues within women's health that often don't get discussed often enough.

Intercalating in Public Health has been an incredible experience, greatly confirming my ambitions to pursue a career in obstetrics and gynaecology. During my studies, I have had the opportunity of exploring women's health in great depth. I have worked on a multitude of women's health projects, exploring inequities from a local, national, and international perspective.

My previous research has explored ethnic disparities in UK women's health from a policy perspective. Additionally, I am researching antenatal care provision in conflict settings in Cameroon.

Within my intercalation, I have been immensely inspired by my teachers and peers working in women's health across the world. As a result of this, I am extremely eager to organise and host a series of educational and discussion events. It is my aspiration that these events will showcase the broad range of opportunities within the specialty, raise awareness of current issues within women's health, and empower students to network with professionals to gain practical and research opportunities.

I have previously served within Cardio Soc, Students for Global Health, Fair Health Leeds, and Raise Leeds. These roles have given me a unique skill set that will enable me to support the incredible work of LOGSOC.

I believe that my desire to help women flourish directly aligns with the mission of LOGSOC. Obstetrics and gynaecology has captivated me and I am extremely determined to get involved in any capacity.

Hi everyone! My name is Hemisha, and I am currently a third-year medical student. I have loved being a part of LOGSOC for the past 2 years, firstly as the pre-clinical representative and currently as the Vice-President. Over these 2 years I have learnt so much about women’s health and have discovered my passion towards Obstetrics and Gynaecology which I why I would like to continue to be a part of the committee.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my position this year as Vice-President and would really appreciate the opportunity to be able to explore a different role within the committee. I will be able to transfer several skills that I have developed over the years as the upcoming Clinical Years Rep, such as organising events for medical students and relaying any ideas and feedback I receive.

I believe that I am hard-working, reliable and can work well within a team, which are key qualities of a Clinical Years Rep. My commitment towards the society demonstrates that I have the skills and passion necessary to be successful in this role. I have really enjoyed being involved in the fantastic events LOGSOC has organised this year and believe that I can bring forward many new ideas to further contribute to the development of the society.
