Hello everyone!

My name is Meera, and I am currently a third-year medical student eagerly anticipating my GOSH placement in the upcoming fourth year. Over the past couple of years, I have developed a profound interest in obstetrics and gynecology, actively participating in the society's events and thoroughly enjoying my time as a committee member this year.

For the next academic year, I am running for the position of Treasurer, and I firmly believe that I possess the qualities well-suited for this role. Serving as the Treasurer would allow me to become more deeply involved with this fascinating field of medicine that captivates me. In this capacity, I would responsibly manage the society's finances, ensuring the successful execution of events, speaker sessions, MOSCEs, and other enriching activities related to obstetrics and gynecology.
Beyond the financial responsibilities, I would relish the opportunity to collaborate closely with like-minded students who share my passion for women's health. I remain committed to the society and would strive to contribute to its continued growth and development.

Hi, my name’s Safaa and I’m currently a 4th year medical student.

I have really enjoyed being a part of the LOGSOC committee for the past two years, and I feel passionate about O&G as a specialty.

I would like to apply for the role of treasurer as I believe I have the skills and commitment required to to effectively manage the society's finances, contribute to its growth, and create a financially sustainable environment that supports our collective goals and aspirations.

My experience working as a receptionist at a hospice has provided me with a strong foundation in key skills such as attention to detail, organisation, communication, and time management, all of which are highly valuable in the role of treasurer. I believe these transferable skills, along with my enthusiasm and dedication will make me a great fit for the position.

I am also confident in communicating and liasing with various groups of people such as the university to allow for the smooth running of the society.

I believe I am a reliable, dedicated, and trustworthy individual and work well with others. I really look forward to continue working as part of a team of like-minded people with similar interests and believe I could bring some great ideas into the group, as well as promoting the society, and specialty as a whole!
