Being someone who has regularly contributed to the club twitter account during indoor and football games I would like to think I have prior experience that would suit me for the role of Social Media Sec. I have dabbled in the usage of Canva, and consequently am now producing team sheets to put on Instagram for St Albans CC, the team I play for at home. Therefore, I’d like to think I am well equipped to produce posts of high quality to advertise our key club events such as the cricket ball, freshers fair, and our Movember campaign where I would love to see us raise a similar if not higher amount than last year!

I have also attended dev nets on one occasion this year where instead of doing anything useful in a cricketing sense, I chose to spend most of the session filming the far net in attempt to get some quality content for the club Instagram. Mixed success.

Assuming this role, I believe it would be important to continue the great work the club does to use social media as a form of raising awareness for the charities that we support, in addition to promoting our sponsors. Taking inspiration from the predecessor of this role J. Moses, I am also extremely prepared to attempt to stay up 24 hours in the case of another mammoth movember running attempt, and yes I did say that this year as well. A huge false acc on my behalf.

As for availability at club events I feel like this is the point where I really could turn some heads. I have attended every social and rollover in some capacity this year, taken part in every club event, been on tour, and regularly played in our football and indoor teams. With no intention on slowing down I would be on hand whenever I am needed to help the club out, or capture some great moments in club history which we have all been fortunate enough to experience this year. The B*ckett game, spinathon and Gavs last rollover all spring to mind. Even when my bank account or workload is absolutely screaming at me, I shall always be av for this club, and that is why it would be an honour to be your social media sec.
