Hi! I'm Sam, and I'd love the opportunity to be your Well-being Officer. Aside from the obvious dark, heady craving for power, it's also because I firmly believe that DiceSoc is and should be the inclusive, respectful, lovingly chaotic space you know, love, and deserve.

As a queer, neurodivergent person, I know how vital and transformative it can be to have a space that not only accepts, but celebrates difference, and tabletop roleplay has long been a bastion of that most noble ideal. As such, as Well-being Officer I would ensure that DiceSoc would continue to be a space where people of all backgrounds and experiences are safe, listened to, and celebrated. This would be reflected in day-to-day practice in events, like giving people the option to go by chosen or character names and pronouns if they wish, and through potential collaborative events with LGBTSoc, NeurodivergentSoc, and others.

I'm active on the Discord, I rarely miss a Wednesday event, and I'm generally pretty loud - I'm a yapper and not easy to miss, so if you have any concerns that you'd want to talk about at an event or on Discord, I'd be more than happy to have an aside chat or a conversation in DMs to sort any issues out peacefully and collaboratively.
