The Social Secretary plans and delivers the society’s social calendar. They organise events, trips, and activities that help members bond and create a sense of community. They work with the Marketing & Sponsorship Officer to promote events and ensure strong attendance.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate social events, trips, and activities for society members - including both sober and non-sober socials
- Work closely with other committee members, especially the Marketing Secretary to promote events and encourage attendance.
- Work with the Equality & Diversity officer to ensure events are inclusive, accessible, and enjoyable for all members.
- Help manage logistics such as booking venues, arranging transport, or coordinating catering where needed.
- Gather feedback from members to improve future social events and activities.
