The Marketing secretary is responsible for promoting the society, managing its public image and generating income through merchandise and sponsorships with external partners.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage the society social media accounts, keeping them active, engaging and up to date
- Work closely with the society President and Social Secretary to ensure events and activities are well-advertised
- Create and distribute promotional materials for events, projects and campaigns the society are taking part in
- Design, Order and oversee sales of society merchandise including Fleece Quarter-zips, sports kit and other miscellaneous items such as bucket hats, coats etc
- Build and maintain relationships with sponsors and partners, securing funding or benefits for society members
- Support the Treasurer by helping raise and manage additional income streams
