As match secretary, I aim to:
- Book as many games as possible wherever possible during the weeks
- Use the fairest possible selection method for players (closing the sign-up forms 24 hours after posting, may involve random selection by a spinning wheel in oversubscription cases and reduce the number of no-shows [people that sign up for games, get picked but don’t send drop-out notices in advance] so that as many people get a chance to play)
- Ensure transparency in the player selection process
-Maintain the ‘taking’ system where people claim open spots on a first come basis
- Ensure that people get to games early enough to maximise game time
- Listen to and try as much as possible to act on player suggestions concerning match equipment and venues
- Ensure effective communication between players and committee members
- Keep CKS games casual and non-competitive.
- Make sure everyone plays fair (reducing risk of injuries & hate speech)
