Hi! I'm Ollie (they/them) and I am a first year Environmental Science student from Brighton, and an already enthusiastic member of LUUMS! I play euphonium in Brass Band, SWO and Concert Band and some people may know me as the really loud, questionably skilled trombonist in Sinfonia! I have been playing the euphonium for 9 years and the trombone for 1, having been a member of Brighton and Hove Youth Wind Orchestra and Hangleton Brass Band in the past!

I would love to be your freshers rep for this year, as I am keen to help my fellow freshers to have their voices heard amongst LUUMS exec, as well as helping everyone to get to know each other! In my first few weeks at LUUMS, I have had amazing time meeting new people and making new friends in every ensemble, and as freshers rep I will make sure that every first year feels settled and comfortable within the society so that they can too! I am very approachable and am always happy to talk to anyone about anything, especially music! I am also at Old Bar 4 out of 5 evenings of the week, so I'm always around for a chat if you need (as well as a pint of blood orange thatchers)!

Hello, I'm Isabelle and I would love to be Fresher's rep because I want to help more first years feel apart of Luums. As soon as I joined luums I realised what a lovely community of awesome people it is. However, we all know the feeling of being new, and often it helps to just have someone to invite you, and bring you into the group, which is exactly who I want to be for my fellow freshers. I am in Chamber Choir and Chorus, and am hoping to join Sinfonia now that I have settled in more. In these ensembles, I've met other first years who feel so relieved to be able to be apart of something away from the pressures of their studies, where they can explore either a new hobby or something they already loved. There are so many ensembles in Luums that there is truly something for everyone, so I want as many freshers to experience this as possible, and to meet so many new, wonderful people in the process!
