The Treasurer is a key member of the FemSoc committee, responsible for managing the society’s finances and authorising spending decisions. This role plays an important part in ensuring the society can deliver events and initiatives that reflect the passions and interests of its members.

While overseeing finances is central to the role, the Treasurer is also an active contributor to the committee, bringing ideas and input that help shape the direction and success of FemSoc.

The Treasurer works closely with LUU, receiving training on financial processes such as grant applications, bursaries, and reclaiming money through the LUU Cash Office. They also collaborate with other committee members to manage income generated from events and ensure funds are used effectively.

Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounts with the LUU Cash Office, applying for grants through the Activities Executive, and managing the overall financial operations of the society. The Treasurer is also responsible for producing a termly financial report and an annual budget, as well as submitting a detailed statement of accounts to the society’s Annual General Meeting.
