Hi everyone!!!
I'm Avneet, a fresher and proud member of the first team here at Leeds lax!! And I’m applying for the role of ⭐️Treasurer⭐️ because who better to protect your funds than someone who studies (International Business and) Finance 🏦and plays defence?🥍(I actually play midfield, but defence is included 🫣)

I know - a fresher running for treasurer might seem like a bold move but here’s a few reasons why I think I’d make a great treasurer:
🤑The Microsoft excel certification I got in semester 1 can be put to use 🔥
🤑I was once the only person in my finance seminar. Did I cry? No. I stayed. Because commitment. Just me, the tutor and a PowerPoint on internal financing 🥲
🤑I went to pre-season even though I was borderline terrified. That’s dedication. And I learnt two things: 1) Leeds lax is the best, and 2) Freshers move the goals. Every time. But I’m still here, and ready to carry the club’s finances like I carry those goals 😏
🤑I love working in a team and like to say I’m pretty organised so will communicate well with the committee and the rest of the club 💚
🤑I love spending money - I love a spontaneous shopping trip and cannot resist a Tesco cookie (or three) but also know how to save money and budget in order to fund these expenses 🥳

If you want someone who’s organised, reliable, and genuinely invested in making sure Leeds lax stays on top (without breaking the bank 😉), then I’m your girl!! With me as treasurer, your funds will be in safe 🔐, always cold🧊, spreadsheet-loving hands❤️‍🔥

hi everyone i’m iona from b&d and i’d love to be your next treasurer!

i’m a first year chem student, but before uni i took a gap year and spent six months solo backpacking around asia—somehow managing not to run out of money (showcasing my amazing budgeting skills). before that, i worked in the tesco cash office, where i was trusted to work on my own, counting tens of thousands in cash every day and locking it up in big fancy safes. high-pressure stuff with lots of spreadsheets and paper work involved. but i never stole a penny, so your money will be in very safe hands.

i’ve loved being part of lacrosse this year—i’m always up for a social, often at training and rollover, and yes, i cried at the baby social... but only because i was so dedicated to being the best baby for my mothers!

i’m running for treasurer because i’m organised, reliable, and genuinely enjoy spreadsheets and maths. i’ll keep everything on track, and way less chaotic than our wednesday nights.

i care a lot about this society and would really love the chance to give something back. vote me for a trustworthy, spreadsheet-loving, emotionally invested treasurer!
