Niamh and Izzy made being a fresh so incredible, and as sad as it is becoming a senior and no longer being fresh, I am very excited for the 2025/26 season🔥🔥🔥🔥

All in all, joining Lacrosse was the best decision I made coming to Leeds. Without Lax I would potentially be without a house next year 🏠🙁 and would have made significantly fewer friends than I did, as well as spending significantly less money on jagerbombs (@kate) 🥃. Whilst Wednesdays are dedicated to lax socials, everyday is lax day!- we have the best community, a funny male counterpart team🥲 and great vibes rain or shine🌦️☀️⛈️☔️

For those who don’t know me (yet), I’m Nia — a bra-sneaking, pint-faking, costume-loving queen and proud B&D baddie. And I’m running to be your next Social Sec! 🤠

Some fun (and slightly concerning) facts about me:
💚 My fashion sense is criminal — which helps with making accurate costumes😎 (less so with fashionable ones -see photographic evidence below)
💚 100% success rate sneaking drinks into venues via bra (as a true pioneer of practical fashion should)
💚 Cannot chop a pint to save my life — but trust me, i’ve mastered the art of discreetly throwing it back in up in the corner or … back into the cup…without anybody noticing on any of the occasions😌 #icanchopapint
💚 queue for the toilet at Popworld? never fear i’ll be outside barricaded behind the bins 🚽

Why am I running for social sec?
💚I thrive on chaos and herding drunken lax players like its a competitive sport (which, frankly it is).
💚I’m ALWAYS down to get creative…🎨
💚I care about this club — I live for Wednesdays. I breathe bin chats outside Popworld. I am physically incapable of saying no to a theme — even if it involves eggs, face paint, or sacrificing dignity.
💚I want to make it fun for everyone! The freshers feeling awkward. The B&D queens in jeans. The seasoned pros with war stories from initiations past. You are all part of this madness, and I want to make sure you enjoy it as much as I do❤️

What I bring to the table 🪑:

Lacrosse has been my entire personality this year (rip my Thursdays lectures) — and honestly, no regrets. From my first social to getting a face full of paint and eggs at initiation, I’ve felt so welcome. I want to give that exact same feeling to every single new person who joins.

Lastly, huge love to our current chaos queens Izzy and Niamh — you’ve raised the bar (and the bar tabs), and I’d be honoured to follow in your footsteps.

I’m Grace, the zero-shame, full-send fresher, and I’m running to be your next Social Sec💕.
You might know me as:
💅The girl whose outfit goes harder than her degree.🍺The one who can down a pint faster than you can say "colander wig” (tbc @ presentations).😫The fresher who somehow manages to humiliate herself weekly — and calls it club spirit.

Why should you vote for me?
Let’s be honest — socials are the 💖beating heart 💖 of this club, and I’ve thrown myself into every one (sometimes literally). Whether I’m:
Covered in face paint (even acrylic paint in the eye 👁️)
Discovering new uses for kitchen utensils (big up the humble colander 👑💪),
Swiftly retrieving a coin from my pint after being asked politely by a senior
…you know I’ll always say yes. Not because I have no boundaries, but because I respect tradition 😌🤪.

Some of my greatest (and most unhinged) hits:
Being walked home after baby social by Pres 🫡, getting egged🍳 SIX times at initiation (shell-shocked but still smiling), taking videos of people kissing in lax corner (return of lacrossip girl??👀), performing a lap dance💃 during the hen do, going on a late-night Hyde Park house hunt for a corkscrew🍷, becoming far too familiar with the bins beside Popworld🚽🚾
And of course, my regular Wednesday ritual:
paint, pint, piss, Popworld (pass out?)

Lacrosse Legend in My Own Way🥍
I may not be repping the 1s 2s or 3s, but as a proud B+D baddie (who turns up to training in jeans 👖), I’ve lived for the social side of the club. It's where I’ve made the bestest of friends🥺, found my artistic flair🎨 and discovered just how much I can get away with in public😳.
I want to keep the spirit alive🔥for the freshers next year – chaos, community💗, and questionable decisions that bond us all 💖together💖.

Ideas for 2025:
🥚 An egg and soldier themed social (would be cracking)
🏌️‍♀️ Pub golf (could be parfect)
💘 More mixed socials with men’s lax – who doesn’t love a lax boy?
🎭 Original themes, DRINKING RULES, and face paint ALWAYS.
✈️ And dare I say it… TOUR? I say dream big- and drink bigger.

Hello lovely ladies, happy bank hol weekend, and as it’s my birthday on Easter Monday🐣 There would be no better present than your vote for me as social sec😘😘 🪩💚🪩💚
My names Lucy and you’re probably thinking, I’ve never seen her play lacrosse??? Which is slightly true……I’ve played one game for the b+d team I promise🙏
My social attendance is unsurprisingly better than my attendance on a Thursday evening at training, and I deeply Apologise to Kate and Katie (the thought is always there I promise), I comsistently take it way too far on a Wednesday 🫣one time I couldn’t get out of bed til 10pm (defo some alcohol poisoning) but it never stopped me from returning the next week…

My devotion to buying mischief tickets is one of my biggest commitments in my life, standing in the crowd waiting for the code to be shown gives me chills like nothing else❤️

Lucky for me I never had any Thursday lectures in sem1 (even more reason to spend my weekly budget in one night)
You’ll find me there, on the steps of mischief til close every week, whether sober (☹️) or not (🥳). Sadly being a very typical uni student my money goes to LACROSSE MERCH, or a flames 🔥

Even though I’m meant to be loyal to a lurufc boy (which I very much am), I still love a cheeky mixed social. I left my light on 3 times for the poor cricket boys at take me out (clearly couldn’t get enough, and will risk anything for lacrosse💋) and am keen to get us all more involved with the lax boys 😉 for all of our silliest fresh next year, and all of my fellow future second years searching for their uni love story❤️


As I only have roughly 10 hours at uni a week (probably only 2 hours that I attend, don’t tell the parents), much of my time will be put into the social ideas with my super creative mind ;) just you wait…my family have brought me up for this very moment in my life, creativity is in my blood🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒🏠
As many of my friends can probably vouch, I came to uni prepared with a ginormous bag of dress up clothes that everyone digs into, my parents are diehard fans of a themed party, so the hand-me-downs are endless x


TOUUURRRRRR🗺️
A tour-turous time for our fresh laxxers next year, and of course us second and 3rd years will have our time to shine💋 whilst we sadly didn’t have our tour this year, it gave me time to study 📚… FOR NEXT YEARS LAX HOLIBOBS minimal items, tour challenges, cock-tails, CROATIA, SPAIN, ITALY, girls holiday style with ilovetour ;;) you know the drill x
I’m sure we will find some familiar male faces….a possible link up with the lax men⁉️🤨

One thing I’d love to prioritise next year as well as tour is getting the seniors involved as my little helpers, keeping our fresh in check👶
Mothers and daughters, FAMILY4LIFE, we will love our fresh as dearly as the seniors did us🐣🐣🐣❤️❤️

Lastly of course, my biggest thank you goes out to the lacrosse society as a whole, the most welcoming girls to someone who has barely played lacrosse (promise I’ll play more next year😙) And a special thanks to Izzy and Niamh from growing me from a fresher pea 🫛 to a full fledged, pint chopping, lax corner loving lacrosse girl. Despite being covered in face paint, I have made the bestest memories and the bestest friends.

GOOD EVENING YOU CHEEKY LACROSSE SUPERSTARS XXXX

If you haven’t already met me passed out in the popworld toilets, my names Sophia and this year I’m running for SOCIAL SEC.

It has been my pleasure to represent the 2s both on and off the pitch this season (admittedly I do spend significantly more time off the pitch, and I get as excited for the final whistle as I do the mischief code🥰🥰🥰). But what I lack in game time enthusiasm, I make up for in full send commitment to being a STUPID FRESH. Here are some of my highlights (or lowlights) from this year:

🔥around 90% social attendance (dry dock Tuesday got the best of semester 1 Sophia a few times). Always on time. Always chopping. Always gobby.
🔥100% training attendance, because what else would I want to do on a cold…blistery…rainy Tuesday night?
🔥took it so far at the initiation I managed to end up in my kitchen, talking to all my sober flatmates, wearing nothing but my north face gilet and a pair of shorts.
🔥ripped my lifeguard shorts to steal a fireman hat for my dear social secs 🥰🥰 then ran around Hyde park delivering boxed wine in a makeshift skirt.(see photos)
🔥I am extremely committed to going out. I drove 2 hours there and back to Newcastle UPON TYNE (not under the Lyme…Izzy) for a Monday night match and still made it back in time for Bobbies😁😁
🔥Will do anything to show off my pint chop skills, quite frankly I am embarrassed by the state of a lot of the pint chops on a Wednesday night. Vote for me and we will straighten this out with the fresh next year 🫵🫵
🔥Took a Wednesday so far I blacked out, woke up in a strangers kitchen with no phone and ID and had to ask a random housemate where I was and how I got there.

So Sophia…you’re abit of an idiot..but why should we vote for you for social sec?

⭐️Once upon a time I was smart enough to get myself into a maths degree, however with my 0% tutorial attendance and 2%? (Not even joking) lecture attendance I aim to dedicate all this brain power into organising the silliest, messiest socials you can possibly imagine😁😁😁😁

⭐️I am more than happy to bankrupt myself for the sake of a social, I truly enjoyed buying and cutting up 50 strips of blue rope to tie up the seniors in freshers revenge. And I was truly delighted when I saw £40 leave my bank account buying boxed wine for one of the houses at the 999 social!!

⭐️I’m uncharacteristically loud (my year one primary school teacher made my mum take me for a hearing test because I’m so loud they thought I was partially deaf) so I will have no problem organising all the fresh and ensuring our Wednesday nights run (relatively) smoothly.

⭐️As designated girls holiday planner, it is my MAIN PRIORITY that I would be able to deliver you all a lax tour- with the boys ofc🙈

⭐️I want to bring the club closer together on our Wednesday nights. Think lacrosse families filled with seniors, freshers, bucs girls and b&d harmony 🥰🥰

I’ll wrap this up and leave you all to enjoy your bank holiday festivities (or hangovers) by saying that my first year of university would not have been the same, or half as fun without Leeds lacrosse. I want to ensure next year all seniors get to carry on the fun, and all new freshers get the opportunity to make as many memories as we all have (emosh🥲)

My name is Bella Ridley, and hope to be your next SOCIAL SECRETARYYY
I am a B and D laxer, yet you can usually find me with a Smirnoff ice in each hand in our beloved lax corner in Popworld!!
Wednesday socials have been the highlight of my week this year, and I would love to carry on the weight of Niamh and Izzy’s very impressive social sec legacy!
I think it is safe to say that my attendance to my lectures and seminars has no reflection upon my attendance to socials and ROLLOVER - our all time fav!! #we❤️|T|


I can guarantee lots of:
mixed socials as mingling with LUUMLC is very important as demonstrated by a few of my fellow freshers!
house socials
A fresh punishment and reward system
A hopeful TOUR
and even a mystery social!
What I bring to the table:
🥍 As the eldest of four sisters, bossing fresh about is in my (green) blood
🥍 My house next year has a huge basement - perfect for sat down crossed legged fresh 🏠

Furthermore, I may not be the best lax player, yet my new B and D skills HAVE taught me the following:
🥍 aiming for the goal (aka throwing up into toilet in popworld post curry night)
🥍 cradling the ball so it doesn’t fall out (my nose piercing falling out after cheeky kiss in Lax corner)
🥍 dodging the defender (the mischief ticket scanners as I have successfully entered without a ticket twice!!)
All silliness aside, I have loved every second of being a part of this club, where I have met my best friends and the most amazing women! I therefore cannot wait to carry on through leading the fun into next year with more pints to be chopped and jägers to be bombed and worlds to be popped!!
