Hello lax ladies, I’m Alana and I’ll be running for 🥍 BEGINNERS AND DEVELOPMENT SEC 🥍.

I’m currently a silly fresh, playing for the 1s and studying geography 🌎🗺️ which leaves lots of time for all things lax. You may have seen me making a solid 5 minute appearance at Christie cup 🏆💚🏆(didn’t want to outshine the rest of the team, so retreated back to the sideline swiftly).

Some of my biggest achievements since joining Leeds lax:
🌟 Only ever missed 2 socials (stupid reading week 🙄).
🌟 Getting mentioned in Lucy and Sadie’s speech at the ball (for having a low IQ but any publicity is good publicity…).
🌟 Fighting off seniors trying to take mine and Coco’s swimming caps off and pour baked beans on our bare heads.
🌟 Closely avoiding any lacrossip girl features, despite Lottie Franeys best efforts.

I think we can all agree having so many B&D players this year has created such a nice atmosphere (and a great popworld presence for lax corner🪩🌟💃). I hope to continue growing our club and getting new players involved, so we can keep outnumbering men’s lax 10:1 at any mixed socials 💪💪.

In all seriousness, after picking up my first stick in year 7, I have never stopped playing the game and do genuinely love it. This club has allowed me to meet the most amazing bunch of girls many of who i’d now consider my best friends 🥹🥹. I’ve made so many memories and can’t wait to keep making more (although my memory does go blank after around 10pm most Wednesdays🙈🙈).

My aim, however daunting it may be, is to fill the shoes of the lovely ✨Kate Driscoll and Katie Young✨. If you’re starting fresh (pun intended) or have played before, the sessions will be about meeting fellow laxers, having a good gossip and hopefully learning some new lax skills.

I am Coco and I am running for the role of… BEGINNERS AND DEVELOPMENT SEC!!! 😜😜😜🥍🥍🥍💚💚💚

For those who don’t know me, I am a proud geographer 🌎 which means I spend more of my week committed to lacrosse than my degree. It also makes me qualified to navigate everyone to Weetwood🗺️🧭, where I can 🥍pass on lacrosse knowledge and we can 🥍catch up on the antics of the night before, getting over shots🥃 … with shots🥍🥅.

If you vote for me I’ll 🥍cradle the opportunity to continue the growing empire of B&D- so we can club😉 together and keep dominating Lax Corner in POPWORLD 🕺🕺🕺🪩🪩🪩

Here are some reasons why you should vote for me that 🥍check all the boxes 💚💚
1. Fastest pint chop out of the freshers in the firsts (only 30 seconds, but a whole 15 seconds faster than Alana🍻)
2. Finding myself on my gap year means I’m experienced and ready to help new members find themselves through lacrosse 🌎🌎
3. I fell asleep at the lax ball after eating 3 meals which shows my dedication to everything I do, whether its lacrosse or keeping well-fed (see below)
4. I gave someone a nosebleed at a social 🎃(it was blood themed tbf)- proof that I am passionate and committed 🏆🏆

Being part of LUUWLC has been my highlight of being a fresher, both playing for the 1s and attending socials, and I’d love the opportunity to become even more involved in the BEST society with the BEST people! 💚💚💚💚

Having played lacrosse for 10 years, I know how to stick😉to the basics and coach some fun lacrosse games, paired with some good music, chat and hopefully lots of fun to create a strong b and d community!! 🥍🥍🥍😘😘😘😘
