This role involves you contacting previous sponsors and potential new sponsors: it’s important to build and maintain a good relationship with the sponsors so that they are keen to come to events and give extra funding. In terms of treasury, you need to keep on top of the outgoings and incomings of the society to ensure that finances are kept in check. It’s a good way to showcase your accounting skills and make good contacts with big companies. Over and above this you will be required to help the committee with the organisation and execution of big events such as conferences. Most things can be done from wherever you are, so it’s a good role for those who want to be on the committee but are on placement a lot. Treasury and Sponsorship is an important role but one that you can make your own.

• This role NEEDS be someone who has experience being a part of the Cutting Edge Committee.
