Hi, I'm Annika! I'm a first-year Politics student running for treasurer. I think I would be perfect for the position of treasurer as I am reliable, organised, and I have previously helped to allocate funds for tournaments and games at my home netball club. Hi, I’m Mark, and I’m standing to be Treasurer of POLISSOC. I’m a second year Politics student and I’ve loved my time at Leeds so far. POLISSOC is such a fantastic way to meet others who do similar courses, especially in first year. I’m the current Secretary of Leeds Labour Society, which has given me valuable experience of helping to run societies and collaborating with other committee members. This has given me an excellent understanding of the operational requirements to run a society, which are transferable to being Treasurer. I've been on the committee of Leeds Labour Society since my first year, and was previously Disability Welfare Officer there.

I'm very good with money management and budgeting, and if elected as Treasurer, my priorities would be to:

• Increase transparency over how POLISSOC spends your money – I would publish a monthly summary of spending to ensure accountability​

• Introducing different tiers of membership

• Ensuring POLISSOC was on a sustainable financial footing for the long-term, as well as the short-term​

• Keeping the membership fee as low as possible​, while ensuring that there is sufficient money to invest in events and socials so everybody has a fantastic time

Hi My Name is Luca and I am running for your POLISOC Treasurer for the year 2025/2026. I have had a passion for Politics since I was a child. I think I will make a great addition to the committee as I have experience with having charge over funds. I was the president of the James Bailie and North Hill Court Residence Life Social Committee where I was in charge of 13,000 pounds to spend on the accommodation's social events. I was also Senior deputy head student (prefect) at my high school which was also the world's first fully online school; I was responsible for managing funds for certain social events to bring people together in real life! Therefore I have multi-cultural experience especially navigating the intricacies of the digital world; which I think is very important skill for a treasurer of POLISSOC to have.
