This role has been somewhat changed and includes more responsibilities of what used to be the Events Manager - in general, the social secretary will have an emphasised role in managing the social events (with help from the rest of committee) and will make announcements on the society social media regarding these.

Specific roles include:

• announcing social events on social media platforms and uploading them to Engage

• emphasised role in organising weekly socials

• organising larger society events

• write and send the newsletter at regular intervals

• ensuring the External Speaker process is followed
