Hi, im a first year student who has loved my time at Femsoc this year and want the opportunity to get more involved in the society. I promise to be committed to achieveing and goals we make and will listen to what the society's concerns are and work together to create a response. Femsoc is such a lovely community,I truly feel like everyone is welcome there and it would be great to contribute to that.

Hi! I'm Emily and I'm running for Political and Campaigning Officer!

I am a third year Politics & Parliamentary Studies Student, currently on placement year in Parliament, working for an MP. I am passionate about feminist issues and have experience volunteering for charities promoting women in industry and raising the aspirations of girls and young people.

My work experience in Parliament has taught me so much about political campaigns, how to research, and keep informed of any upcoming policy changes. This year I have helped organisations plan events to promote their own campaigns and raise awareness for underestimated and underfunded issues.

I believe I could bring a positive and determined energy to the Committee, completely set on delivering for the society. I would encourage participation by listening to Members’ thoughts about upcoming campaigns, learning what issues are most important to FemSoc, and doing my utmost to live up to its incredible campaigning reputation!

I have really missed attending FemSoc events this year, and especially loved GIAGs for meeting wonderful people, and collaborations with other societies or local charities. It would be an honour to work on the Committee in my final year, and to play a part in making campus, and the wider community, a better and more inclusive place!
