Hi!! My name is Hanna Jackson a first year journalism student. As head of sport my main goal is to maintain the quality of content we produce during big sporting events like Varsity and Christie. By ensuring that the connections made with the sports societies and other media societies like LSR are prioritized.

Alongside these essential aspects I want to expand on the content produced by sport. Whether that be short form content or longer more in depth content. I plan on doing this by possibly getting more involved with all sports on campus year round. We could do this by covering their regular season games and special events.

Ultimately, I have a passion for sports and all things sports media. That being said a large portion of my desire to be head of sport thrives from the desire to make fun sports content that is enjoyable to watch and make. Next year I wish to, with the collaboration of others of course, build on the lighter form sports content. To me this means things like working with light entertainment, live and others to film videos such as , “A race to the most premier league stadiums” or live of an Arsenal fan and a Tottenham watching a match, just too throw a few ideas out there.

Along with these videos I would love to expand the reach of LSTV in the local sporting communities and do things like a video featuring women is sports around Leeds and on campus for International Women's Day.

All in all, I would love the opportunity to channel not only my love of sports but also others by ensuring that LSTV has a great year in fun and meaningful sports content. I will hopefully do this by being a person who is open and easy to talk to if anyone is interested in making anything sports related!
