Hi I’m Emma, a first year journalism student wanting to be the next Head of Music!

I am very passionate about music and I think that his will help inspire me, and give others the opportunity to enjoy it as much as I do.

I am a very friendly person, very chatty and I love to meet new people. I hope to make people feel comfortable in interacting with me and suggesting upcoming music events or projects they want to take part in.

Hi, I’m Caitlin and I would love to be your head of music!!! Music has always been such an integral part of my life, and I couldn't imagine my life without it. I like to think I have quite a diverse taste in music but I’m always looking for new recommendations and discovering as much music as possible. Some of my favourite artists include The Strokes, The Last Dinner Party, Kings of Leon, Chappell Roan, Elliott Smith, Bowie, Amy Winehouse- the list could go on forever! If you know me, you know I’ve always got a gig booked (rip my bank account) and I’m always up for a boogaloo night out! I’ve been an active member of LSTV since beginning uni in semester 1 taking part in a range of videos both behind and in front of the camera. Some of my favourites include the blind deaf and mute baking challenge, varsity and christie cup. If you recognise me, it might be from my semi-viral clip from the campus interviews which lead me to win the influencer award at the winter awards! I couldn't imagine my uni experience without this society, and I want to allow others to have that same positive experience too. Within this role my love for music will drive my commitment and dedication, allowing for the best content possible! I want to continue the format of covering concerts and music events as well as introduce some new ideas for videos such as: Amobea style ‘what’s in my bag’, Track Star ‘name the artist’ and introducing a higher output of short form videos as well to increase engagement online. My experience in creating and organising a band documentary has only highlighted my passion for creating music-based content and I would love to continue to do so in this role! A vote for Caitlin?
