As someone who has been on MSRC for the past three years (as first year rep, second year rep and then as Vice President/Secretary), I have an abundance of experience of working on MSRC and know the ins and outs of how the society runs and the complex nature of our relationships with LUU and the Medical School. In my role as Vice President/Secretary, I have worked closely with staff members of LUU, FMH and the School of Medicine. I have chaired Student Staff Partnership Forums in the School of Medicine and have been involved with staff members in developing schemes such as MUMS to ensure inclusivity. I have been heavily involved in running many of MSRC’s events over the past three years, including the Medic Freshers Fair, MUMS events, the Worsley Awards (which I have also hosted and presented at). My roles this year outside of MSRC included Psyched Vice President, LUU Intercalating Course Rep and School of Psychology Intercalators Rep. These roles have shown me how other societies, courses and schools run, equipping me with varied experiences I can bring to MSRC and the School of Medicine.
