I’m Emily and I’m running for Treasurer of the 23/24 Nursing Society. I am in my 2nd year of studying Mental Health Nursing, as a ‘mature’ student. Working together with the committee, members and other nursing students alike, I really want to priorities fundraising for charities and local organisations close to our hearts.

As nursing students, we want fair opportunities for our patients, and that means we should strive to have it for ourselves as well! Therefore, I want FREE or subsidised events for our nursing students. Cost of living is tough, nursing is tough. We want to have a fun time, at little-to-no expense!
Having studied and graduated previously from Leeds, and having worked in Leeds for a number of years— I hope to bring my knowledge of the city and past experiences of working with students, local businesses and organisations to the Committee.
By nominating myself as treasurer, I am pushing myself out of my comfort zone, but I hope to have the opportunity to learn new skills, and get to know more of our student nurses!
