Hi everyone! My name is Oscar Wills, and I’m a second-year Neuroscience student here at the University of Leeds. I’m thrilled to be considered for the position of President here at Enactus Leeds, and I want to share with you my passion for leadership and my vision for our team.
I have always believed that great leadership is about inspiring others to achieve more than they ever thought possible. This is why I’m running for President. I want to lead Enactus Leeds to become one of the top 5 teams nationwide and secure our spot at the 2025 National Expo.
Why do I think we can do it? Because Enactus isn’t just about projects and competitions; it’s about making a real impact. It’s about using innovation and business skills to create sustainable change. And who better to lead this charge than us—the students who are not only learning but also ready to change the world?
Over the past year, I’ve kept a close eye on Enactus projects across the country, and their respective trails of positive impact. One of the most inspiring stories I came across in the Enactus 2025 Strategic Plan was about Sery Kone, who went from being a child slave to leading a nonprofit that has freed over 500 children and built schools in the Ivory Coast. This story resonated with me deeply because it embodies what Enactus stands for: transforming lives through entrepreneurial action.
As President, my goals will be:
Empower Our Team: Ensure every member has the support, resources, and training needed to turn their innovative ideas into successful projects.
Foster Collaboration: Work closely with our VP, university advisors, and Enactus UK to present our projects and seek new opportunities for growth.
Drive Impact: Focus on projects that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, ensuring we make a meaningful difference in our community and beyond.
Celebrate Successes: Recognise and celebrate achievements, big and small, to keep our team motivated and proud of our work.
