Hey everyone, my name is Ryansh Singh and I am currently a second-year Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering student. Having developed my leadership and communication skills at school by being head of Social Responsibilities and the Model United Nations Research Team, I really felt I could transfer these skills to consulting. I was hence an active participant for LUCS last year, having travelled to London to represent LUCS in the UCL Consulting Summit and competing against students from Oxford and Imperial. Following this, I finished second at the LUCS Annual Case Study Competition. Joining LUCS has shaped me personally and professionally since last year, and I wish to give the same experience to new students through taking up the role of Events Coordinator.

As Events Coordinator, I will prioritize the growth of aspiring consultants at our university through organizing Q&A sessions with consultants in top firms, who can provide tips on what they did right in their CVs, Interview, and Networking – which will hence give LUCS members an advantage amongst all the competition. Additionally, I aim to organize voluntary work experience for LUCS members as consultants with local startups in Leeds, which will help LUCS members gain crucial experience. I plan to also work closely with the social secretary to organize socials after events, along with frequently organizing consulting-based socials! I’ve noticed the impact the last committee had, and I understand the expectations that come with it as I aim to only grow the society further from here along with my fellow committee members.

Hi everyone,

I’m Vanya Marwah, a final-year BSc International Business and Marketing student, and I’m excited to stand for Events Coordinator.

This past year, I’ve served as the President of the Human Resource Management Society (2024–25). In this role, I led a new and growing society, organising professional insight events and CV workshops in collaboration with industry experts. These events were designed to improve student employability and boost engagement, and I managed everything from speaker outreach to logistics and promotion.

Leading a society has taught me how to plan efficiently, communicate clearly, and deliver high-quality events with purpose. I’ve also built relationships across committees and collaborated with different teams, all of which have prepared me to contribute meaningfully to LUCS.

Alongside this, I’ve worked as a Senior Consultant at Leeds Community Consulting, gaining further experience in project delivery, stakeholder management, and teamwork under pressure.

I’m confident that my leadership, organisational skills, and event experience make me a strong fit for this role, and I’d love the opportunity to bring my ideas and energy to LUCS.

Hello everyone!

My name is Vedant Rao, and I am a 3rd year Business Managment student currently on placement.

I have always been interested and actively involved in societies since my start at University. I have observed the stark positive changes in this society from where it was in 2023 to now.

I would love to have to opportunity to ensure continued growth with my experience as previous Vice-President at Enactus Leeds, Placement year at Cummins Inc. and other roles/competitions at college/university (Eg. PASS leader).

Relevant experiences include my role at Enactus that involved evaluating 10+ project proposals against the lean product development concept. Planned and executed events with the team that led to an overall increase in memberships and funds. Delegated tasks at times of duress while maintaining quality of work.

My placement at Cummins helped me develop my networking skills by forming relationships across all levels of the company. Furthermore, my consistent communication with 500+ customers and presenting work at meetings has honed my ability to convey information concisely and convincingly to all audiences.

I am passionate about contributing to the growth of our society and believe my experience aligns perfectly with the responsibilities of this role.
