Hi, I’m Ria-Jasmine and I’m a second year Fashion Marketing student. I have attended many homed society events this year and have not only really enjoyed myself, but i have found this society is a great place to make friends, meet new people, and most importantly to help those in need. I would love for others to have this same experience too.

I have volunteered in the past teaching younger children to draw and paint, putting on weekly events of which I found incredibly fun. I’m an organised and dedicated person with a lot of creative idea’s which can be implemented into events organising. I want to further explore homed as a home society; a place where everyone can feel comfortable and content with a mindset of generosity. I feel like creating some more craft, games nights and movie marathons will be a great way of ensuring this homely feeling can be maintained throughout the society while still permeating a charitable ethos!

I am very passionate about Homed and all it has done for the homeless community in Leeds and it would be so nice to have so many more members as part of this society. As Events Officer I would be enthusiastic in organising fun, engaging and informative events that not only makes everyone feel welcome but shows how they can be part of this society. The events would also help fundraise for important charities so I would help to push the awareness for all the various events that will be held.
