Hi, I’m James and I’m standing to be the Events Secretary of Leeds Labour Society. I am a second-year Politics and Parliamentary Studies Student. I have been a member of the Labour Party since late 2019 and have played a role in local politics in my home CLP and local Council Ward. I have experience in organising and running events all the way back from when I helped plan different events in my sixth form, including open days, and I have continued to gain such experience in various roles since. As Events Secretary I will work with the other members of the committee to organise great events for members. I will work to arrange opportunities for members to hear from guest speakers. And I will play my part to get as many people as possible engaged with politics ahead of next year’s General Election.
