Hello, I’m Sophie and I’d love to be the next events officer for the CFR society. Being a society where teamwork is essential, I feel that socials are really important in helping us to get to know one another and build bonds which I reckon only makes us better responders. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being part of the CFRs and feel that it’s a lovely community. I hope that as events officer I’d be able to support the running of such a friendly society, through continuing to have a variety of socials - allowing everyone to partake and feel included in the society. I’ve really enjoyed the socials we’ve had this year and they’ve definitely helped me to make friends and feel like a proper part of the CFR community! It’s always daunting joining a new society, especially when you don’t know anyone but I felt welcomed straight away and this is the type of atmosphere I’d like to be a part of creating for new recruits; through being part of the committee and holding socials to help the new recruits feel really welcome, and to continue the good vibes for the current CFRs. I feel that I'm an organised individual and I like to think that I’m fun and friendly so will hopefully bring some decent socials to the table (and will take some heavy inspo from the ones this year haha). I want to ensure that socials are inclusive and varied over the year, so everyone can get some fun out of them, and try to do them monthly so we’re all keeping in regular contact and enjoying time together.
