Why secretary?
Whilst I am quite new to the society, I am absolutely loving being a CFR, with a highlight so far being the weekend away. I would love to help more people hear about and get involved in the society to learn something new, find a new way to help people, and meet other students – just like I have! I think secretary would be a great role to allow me to do this, and would also give me the chance to learn more about, and contribute to, the behind-the-scenes of the society.

What could I bring to the role?
Firstly, I think good time management and organisation! Whilst studying at Leeds I’ve had a job, taken part in a musical and got stuck into other societies, meaning I’m quite used to juggling a few commitments at once and don’t think I would struggle with lots of admin! I just love talking to people so would be very happy to be a go-to contact for any questions – in my job as a student ambassador I spend lots of time answering queries students have about starting university. I also think the social media aspect of the role sounds like fun - I would like to post welcome videos for everyone on committee to introduce themselves and their role so that CFRs recognise faces and feel more comfortable signing up to shifts with them, and I am eager to learn new ways to contribute as time goes on.
