A little about me first, I am a mature first year diagnostic radiography student at UoLeeds. I was introduced to X-posure by Helen a few months ago.

I feel that it’s really important that radiologist and radiographers work and learn together as ultimately we are part of the same team. You can’t have one without the other.

For this reason, I have put myself forward as an outreach rep. My intention next year is to get more radiographers involved with x-posture events and at the same time get more radiologist involved in RadSoc events (I am hoping to get nominated as outreach rep on RadSoc also). From the events I’ve attended this year, I have seen a lot of overlap between knowledge and skills for radiography and radiology.

Given the opportunity to become the outreach rep 2023/24, I’d like to think that I create that initial spark that betters and increases the relations between the -ologist and the -ographers and hope this continues for many years to come. We have a lot to learn from each other and better our practices and understanding.

I hope this short statement is enough to convince you to vote for me? And I hope I don’t win by default by being the only nomination for this role :-)
