Dear Vibes Society Members and Committee,

I am excited to express my interest in running for the position of Secretary of Vibes Bollywood Dance Society. Being part of Vibes as a choreographer this year and participating in events like the LUU Showcase, Intercomp, and various other performances has been an incredibly rewarding experience. It has allowed me to grow not only as a dancer but also as someone who understands the importance of organization, communication, and teamwork behind every successful event.

As Secretary, I aim to ensure that our society’s operations run smoothly and efficiently. I am committed to managing communications clearly and promptly, helping organize rehearsals, meetings, and events so that all members feel informed and supported. I am passionate about building an environment where everyone feels involved, valued, and excited to be part of the Vibes journey.

With my experience, dedication, and genuine love for the society, I am confident that I can bring energy, responsibility, and enthusiasm to the role of Secretary. I would be honored to continue contributing to Vibes and to help us grow even stronger as a community of dancers and friends. Thank you for considering my candidacy.

Heya dancers,
If we’ve danced together, you already have seen my dedication towards being involved in Vibes - and now I finally have a chance to give back by nominating myself as the Secretary. As someone who loves bureaucracy almost as much as a good beat, I believe I have the right skills and enthusiasm for the role.

But don’t just take my word for it - here’s a little of what makes me someone you should vote for:

- Organised performances and events from start to finish — choreographing, scheduling rehearsals, and coordinating with students and faculty to keep everything running smoothly, both officially as Cultural Coordinator in high school and unofficially beyond that.

- I’ve noticed that lots of members in Vibes have great ideas and suggestions, and I’d love, along with the Social Secretaries, to make sure we bring those into our events, open classes, and competitions. My communication and admin skills from being a School Rep for Computer Science have helped me gather and share feedback effectively. One of my main tasks was making sure everyone was kept in the loop, and I’m excited to use that experience to help improve things in Vibes.

- As the President of Sexpression Leeds, a relationship, health, and sex education charity, I’ve gained a lot of experience navigating LUU’s systems and handling admin work. Over the past year, I helped revive the society with just two other committee members. I’ve also collaborated with various societies, and I’m excited to bring that spirit of collaboration to Vibes this year. (BellyDance society collaboration is definitely happening — I’m friends with the upcoming President)

- Of course, I’ve been an active member of Vibes for the past year, taking part in events like Intercomp, the LUU showcase, and more performances. Being involved has helped me reconnect with my love for dancing and reminded me just how big a role it plays in my life.

Let’s keep Vibes running as smoothly as our performances.
